Slow growth, on purpose

MailSequoia is a small, invite-only email delivery service. It does one job: it carries email for people who want to send under their own name, and it keeps that email honest.

Why a sequoia

A giant sequoia adds one ring of wood each year. A good year leaves a wide ring and a hard year a narrow one, and the record stays in the trunk for anyone who cares to read it.

Sending email works the same way. Mail services judge a sender by what it has sent before, a day at a time. Nobody can skip that part. A good name is built slowly, in public, and it is easy to read.

So MailSequoia is built around the day. Each customer has a place of their own, each day is counted, and what goes wrong is dealt with there and then.

What we think matters

Your name on your email
Email should carry the name of whoever wrote it. MailSequoia is only the carrier, and never puts its own name in front of yours.
A place of your own
Shared setups are hard to follow and hard to fix. Every customer here has their own.
Scars heal over
A sequoia survives fire by growing new wood over the burn. A dead address or a spam complaint is closed off the same way: we stop writing to it and the sending carries on.
Few rules, kept
Our acceptable use policy fits on one page. We would rather have five rules people follow than fifty they skim.

How we work

By email. There is no sign-up form, no checkout and no account page yet. You write to us, we set you up, and your numbers and questions travel the same way.

That is a deliberate choice for now. Opening accounts by invitation means we know who is sending through MailSequoia and what they send.

What you will not find here

A wall of customer logos, a running count of emails delivered, or a row of badges. We would rather show you how it works and let you judge it on that.

Start with how it works, or go straight to getting started.

Plant your first seed.

Send us a short note: who you are, what kind of email you send, and roughly how much.
